Abstract

(1) English Enhancement Courses

College of Computer Science was selected as the key cultivation college of MOE’s Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College. To enhance the English language ability of our students and to promote them as international talents, we offer English enhancement courses in English speaking and academic writing to improve students' general English and academic English abilities. In addition, each class size is about 6 to 12 students, which provides plenty of opportunities for class interaction.

(2) EMI Workshop

College of Computer Science had cross-collaboration with College of Biomedical Science and Engineering to conduct the online EMI workshop. There were two distinguished EMI teachers sharing their own experiences of teaching EMI courses. In addition, we invited three experienced professors of College Computer Science to share their teaching skills in the 2020 CCS EMI Workshop. Through these two activities, we hoped that teachers could exchange ideas and improve the overall quality and knowledge of English instruction.
