We have implemented a rolling adjustment of various teacher-student incentive systems to encourage teachers to increase the number of EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses and to enhance students' voluntary motivation to adapt to English learning. We also focus on students' willingness to participate in EMI courses and use incentive measures to stimulate their interest in choosing EMI courses voluntarily. The results of these efforts are detailed in points two, three, and four.
2. Establishing a Sound System and Rolling Adjustment for Supervising Effectiveness
To effectively implement the EMI bilingual program, our institution's relevant center and committee are responsible for executing and supervising its effectiveness. We provide corresponding resources to teachers and students and make rolling adjustments to incentive systems to increase the participation of teachers and students in bilingual teaching and courses. Detailed achievements are outlined in points three, five, and six.
3. Establishing the Co-teacher System
We continue to promote the Co-teacher Program, a unique EMI feature of the College of Management. International master's and doctoral students serve as co-teachers, bridging the gap between domestic and international students. Through co-teaching with foreign instructors, students not only assist in teaching but also create an immersive English learning environment. The goal is for students to integrate into courses more naturally using English as a medium of communication, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and willingness of local students to choose English-taught courses. Detailed achievements are specified in point five.
4. Creating a Friendly English Learning Environment
To integrate bilingual learning into campus life, we actively cultivate a friendly English learning environment. In addition to increasing the proportion of English books and e-books, we expand the availability of the MyET online English-speaking learning system for all students and staff. We also organize a series of themed student activities to reduce cross-cultural differences, enhance English speaking and communication skills, provide professional training, and connect international and local students. These efforts deepen relationships, improve English proficiency, foster understanding of new cultures, and create an English learning environment. Detailed achievements are outlined in points five and six.
5. Establishment of the School-level International College from the 111th Academic Year Onwards
The International College integrates English bachelor programs from various colleges, concentrating English courses from freshman to senior years. It will hire 10 outstanding foreign faculty members to achieve the goal of 100% English instruction in all professional courses.
