Despite its short 23-year history, Asia University (AU) has achieved high rankings in THE, QS, US News, and ARWU. The Management College stands out with several international accomplishments:
- AACSB Accreditation: Only 6% of business schools worldwide earn this distinction.
- THE World University Rankings 2024: Ranked 201-250 globally in business and economics, 2nd nationally, and 1st among private universities in Taiwan.
- Integration of AI and ESG: Research and Curriculum focus on AI technology management and sustainable practices like green finance.
- Dual-Degree Programs: Partners with institutions in Canada, France, the USA, Switzerland, and the UK. Students enhance exposure to English instruction in the first two years and study abroad in the third or fourth year, with internship opportunities available.
- Certified Faculty: 54 faculty members (82%) are certified in CLIL or EMI.
Since being designated as a "Key Cultivation College" in the Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College by the Ministry of Education in 2021, the college has implemented several strategic initiatives:
- Institutional Strategy and Management: AU follows the institution development plan and continually runs EMI Promotion Office, AMC Bilingual Education Promotion Office, EMI committees, and a community for seed teachers within the AMC to enhance resource sharing and innovative teaching. In collaboration with the Resource Center for EMI at National Taiwan Normal University, two communities have been established.
- Faculty and Teaching: In the112 academic year, 58 undergraduate, 11 master's, and 10 doctoral EMI courses were offered by AMC. The number of EMI-certified faculty reached 54. CDLTR and the college organized workshops and experience-sharing sessions to promote professional development.
- Student Learning: 375 students took the BESTEP exam with a 71% participation rate. The college offered Essential Practical English, EAP, and ESP courses to improve their English proficiency. CDLTR has also established a writing center for this matter. Online test systems, Easy Test and BiVoke, are purchased to support self-regulated learning. English proficiency test reward policies have been refined to motivate students.
- Quality Assurance: 79 EMI courses were offered in the112 academic year. Among them, AACSB's Assurance of Learning standards have been implemented in 12 courses and 40 courses were observed. Satisfaction surveys and advisory meetings were conducted in the midterm to ensure continuous improvement for EMI courses.
- Resource Sharing and Collaboration: The college hosted 2 international conferences on EMI and AI, featuring global experts from institutions like Tsinghua University, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Oxford EMI Center.
Supportive Infrastructure: The college built a specialized EMI classroom equipped with advanced multimedia tools for lecture recording and broadcasting, which can effectively improve the quality of EMI courses.
