Fu Jen Catholic University (FJCU), in line with the “2030 Bilingual Nation Policy,” aims to enhance students’ bilingual abilities and global competence. Through improving the quality of its English-taught courses, diversifying student learning opportunities, and strengthening teaching resources, FJCU fosters bilingual, interdisciplinary, and internationally oriented students. Additionally, the university also focuses on transitioning students from English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI).

112th Academic Year Achievements:

1. Increase in EMI Courses: From 440 in the 109th academic year to 579 in the 112th.
2. Capacity-Building Workshops: Numerous EMI and English teaching workshops conducted.
3. International Campus Videos: Eight student-hosted videos showing various aspects of life at FJCU produced. 
4. Empowerment English Proficiency Test Awards: Seven students received Elite Awards, ranking second among private universities.
5. Optimized Learning Environments: Two classrooms enhanced for EMI courses.
6. EMI Faculty Training Abroad: Two teachers selected for the 2024 Fulbright EMI training in the US.
7. Holistic Professional English Courses: Thirteen teachers offered 42 courses.
8. ESP Student Projects: Students completed 93 excellent ESP projects.
9. International Study Tours: Visited to New York Fashion Week and Bunka Gakuen University in Tokyo.
10. SPOSAD Scholarships: For four consecutive years, five students received full SPOSAD scholarships.
11. Refashioning Culture Videos: A series of six English videos on Chinese textile and clothing culture were produced and launched online.
12. FJU Talents: Four students represented FJCU at the London Fashion Week Fashion Scout.
