To achieve the objective of cultivating professional bilingual talent, we have identified key national priority areas: Semiconductor IC design and Wireless Communication, Information Engineering and Cybersecurity, International Finance and Logistics, and Smart Manufacturing for the BEST program development. With the implementation of our strategic plan to ensure that "the university is prepared," "teachers are supported," and "students have choices", we endeavor to make the program effective.

University Preparedness: Led by the President and Vice President, the Bilingual Education Promotion Committee oversees the strategic bilingual initiatives and the EMI Resource Center is specifically responsible for advancing EMI implementation.

Teacher Support: We have organized 18 EMI faculty workshops, with a total of 526 participants and an overall satisfaction rate of 4.7. Additionally, 3 and 16 faculty members completed the training program and received the "International Higher Education Teaching Training Certificates," and the “Oxford EMI Training Certificates”, respectively. Ten Excellent EMI Teaching Awards were presented to our outstanding faculty members in recognition of their efforts in EMI instruction.

Student Choices: Students showed substantial improvement on the online TOEIC mock tests, with average scores in the College of Management, College of Informatics, and College of Electrical Engineering increased by 37.68, 38.97, and 75.88 points, respectively. Notably, the number of students obtaining English proficiency certificates rose significantly from 207 in 2023 to 807 in 2024.

Curriculum Reform: We offered 10 EAP and 19 ESP courses, with a total of 832 students enrolled. The College of Management, College of Electrical Engineering, and College of Informatics saw an increase in end-of-semester course satisfaction rates in the 1121 and 1122 semesters compared to that of mid-semester, with increases of 1.3%, 5.3%, and 1.5%, respectively. For the 1121 semester, the overall satisfaction rate for EMI courses across the university reached 4.48, and students’ comprehension of professional knowledge taught in English reached 4.38.

We have progressively achieved the goals of an EMI teaching environment through clear strategies and comprehensive measures and achieved significant results. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our efforts, further enhancing the internationalization of academic and administrative operations while cultivating more bilingual professionals in specialized fields, positioning ourself as a key contributor to the "2030 Bilingual Nation Policy Development Blueprint."
