In alignment with the "Bilingual 2030 Policy," Fu Jen Catholic University has remained committed to cultivating students with bilingual proficiency and global competitiveness. Through strategies such as enhancing the quality of English courses, expanding learning resources, strengthening faculty professional development, and promoting interdisciplinary integration, the University has supported students in progressing from English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses to English-Medium Instruction (EMI) courses. This comprehensive approach nurtures talents equipped with international mobility, professional competence, and intercultural communication skills.

The College of Management has established the development goal of cultivating international business and management professionals with both "intelligent business and management decision-making capabilities" and "bilingual communication competence." Through multiple strategies, including the promotion of EMI courses, faculty professional development, the establishment of digital learning platforms, and international cooperation and exchange, the College has deeply integrated professional knowledge, sustainable development, and English proficiency, thereby creating a bilingual learning environment with international competitiveness.

In terms of curriculum development, the College of Management has actively promoted the integration of EMI with sustainable development issues. English-medium instruction has been incorporated into professional fields such as environmental sustainability, corporate governance, and digital transformation. Innovative teaching activities, such as the EMI × ESG Outdoor English Workshop, have also been organized to cultivate students' ability to analyze and address global issues in English. At the same time, the College has continued to promote the MBA Program in International Management (imMBA), providing a fully English-taught learning environment that facilitates collaborative learning and exchange between international and local students, while deepening students' intercultural communication competence and global perspectives.

With respect to faculty development, the College of Management has actively encouraged faculty members to participate in international professional training programs. During Academic Years 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 (AY112–113), two faculty members were selected to participate in the Fulbright EMI Overseas Professional Faculty Training Program and undertook professional development at the University of Maryland and the University of California, San Diego, respectively. In addition, other faculty members participated in professional training programs at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) and Columbia University in the United States, continuously enhancing their EMI teaching competence and international teaching perspectives.

Furthermore, the College of Management has collaborated with Chang Gung University, National Taipei University of Technology, and other institutions to establish the "IGNITE iEMI Interdisciplinary Teaching Innovation Network." Through cross-institutional faculty community exchange, sharing of innovative teaching methods, and the application of digital technologies, the network aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of EMI teaching. To further strengthen the professional growth mechanism for EMI faculty, the College invites faculty members with outstanding EMI teaching achievements from the previous academic year to share their experiences in course design and teaching practice each year. In conjunction with English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and ESP course planning, faculty members who have participated in EMI workshops and faculty learning communities are also invited to exchange experiences. These activities assist faculty in enhancing their English-medium teaching capabilities and promote pedagogical concepts related to English for Teaching and Academic Purposes (ETA). During Academic Years 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 (AY112–113), a total of 11 EMI faculty teaching experience-sharing activities were held, with cumulative participation exceeding 70 faculty members.

In terms of student learning support, the College of Management has actively promoted innovative EMI teaching practices. By organizing EMI bilingual outdoor workshops on environmental sustainability and integrating field-based learning sites such as mountain and indigenous communities in Yilan, the College has guided international and local students to engage in intercultural exchange, issue-based inquiry, and outcome presentations entirely in English. These activities have created a diverse and immersive English-learning environment, enabling students to move beyond the traditional classroom framework and practice English communication in natural and authentic interactive contexts. Through such experiences, students are able to develop the ability to use English to solve real-world problems. The College also regularly organizes English Corner activities, in which international students and teaching assistants lead local students in English-language exchange, thereby fostering a natural and continuous English-learning environment.

In the areas of international cooperation and digital resource development, the College of Management signed a memorandum of understanding on EMI teaching cooperation with the University of Surabaya in Indonesia. The College also visited the University of Surabaya to conduct demonstration teaching on EMI and AI application courses, reaching an audience of more than 100 faculty members and students. Through the exchange of EMI teaching experiences and best practices among non-native English-speaking countries, the College has effectively expanded its practical experience in international academic exchange and EMI teaching enhancement. In addition, the College has established a "Bilingual Digital Intelligent Sustainable Learning Platform," which provides intercollegiate shared EMI modular courses and integrates AI-based English self-learning and assessment tools. This platform enhances students' motivation for autonomous learning and improves learning outcomes, further contributing to the development of a bilingual learning ecosystem characterized by both digitalization and internationalization.
